Wharton Valley Farm Market sits on a quiet stretch of West Street in Edmeston, where the road curves past fields and the pace slows down just enough to notice what's ripening. We've been opening our doors for over forty years — not because it's convenient, but because it matters.
Everything on our tables comes from this valley or the farms we know by name. When peaches are heavy in August, you'll find them. When greens turn bitter with the first frost, we close the stand and wait for spring. That's how we like it — honest, seasonal, and without pretense.

Local when possible
We don't ship things in from three states away. What you see is what the season brings — and some days, the season brings more than others.
Tomatoes, corn, squash, beans, and everything the patch produces — picked the same morning you buy them.
Apples, peaches, cherries, and berries — grown in the valley or sourced from neighbors who share our standards.
Raw honey from local hives, house-made jams, and preserves that taste like the summer they were made.
Bouquets from the field and pots of basil, mint, and rosemary — because your kitchen deserves the same freshness.
Baked goods, prepared foods, and pantry staples made right here — because some things still take time.
Pumpkins in autumn, wreaths, candles, and small-batch finds from makers in the region.
We follow what the land offers — and that means some things are only here for a short while. That's the point.
Radishes, lettuce, asparagus, and the first strawberries — tender, early, and gone too soon.
Tomatoes on the vine, sweet corn, peaches, berries, and herbs that fill the stand with fragrance.
Apples, squash, pumpkins, and the last of the stone fruit — plus preserves and honey ready for gifting.
We rest, plan, and preserve — so when we reopen, there's nothing but what's worth your time.
